Autres Secrets du Vide et du Plein (1953),
Ghérasim Luca.

Gerashim LUCA’s text is an essential force, a raw textual material.

It hybridizes words, meanings, to give birth to paradoxes, to deepen the impossibility of saying. The search for a saturation, a destructuration of the text, the stuttering of the verb… are the driving forces proposed as a matter, transposed to the dancers’ bodies. Xtatik, a slammer, takes this sound poetry as a starting point to compose the beats of his texts.

In the field of Street-dance, locking, popping, breaking, krumping, etc. could be the axes of the works, contemporary body dance with urban gestures – out of the classics.

These bodies unfold a different space, powerful and bold. Results of an urbanistic thought, of imposed spaces, these movements are made of stops, of breaks, of flows… they dig a full space, they touch the limits.

The sound material is made of two dimensions: on the one hand, the contemporary music of Yi-Ping YANG, which reveals the power of silence, in the abstraction of percussions, in unusual architectures of rhythms; on the other hand, the pop music of ANTIQUARKS, which hybridizes hurdy-gurdy and drums. It is the meeting of two fields that gives the sound material new impulses.
