The Infinity collective is a group of professional soloists with a variable geometry, initially designed around percussion but incorporating a variety of instruments.
Chamber music, electroacoustic, large ensembles, Infinity explores styles from different eras, including new technologies (electronics, video), and spans various types of performances, including concerts, dance, theater, circus, and visual arts.
The Infinity Resonance Festival – RIT in Lyon, organized alongside the timpani composition competition, will take place for this edition on January 14, 2025, at ENS, Kantor Theater for its opening night « OrKestr Percussion », followed by performances from January 15 to 17 at the CRR, Debussy Hall.
The purpose of this competition is to enrich the repertoire of works dedicated to the timpani and to promote creativity and innovation in the field of percussion music. It also aims to provide a platform for composers from all backgrounds to express their talent and artistic vision, creating a space for exchange and sharing between musicians, composers, and music enthusiasts.
